My name is Michele Freeman. I've been a writer for more than 40 years, and currently focus on nonfiction, true crime, and horror short stories. I had a long career as New York Times and USA Today bestselling paranormal romance author Michele Bardsley and a brief foray into paranormal young adult fiction as Michele Vail. In the last four decades I've been a journalist (managing editor of both my high school and college newspapers), novelist (including writing books for Penguin Random and HarlequinTEEN), acquisitions editor at a small Las Vegas publication, freelance writer with work appearing in publications such as Fodor's Travel Guides and Writer's Digest, senior editor at an independent electronic publisher, and freelance editor working with a number of independently published authors.
I also crochet, make Duolingo sad, and eat chocolate as dark as my soul. I reside in Texas with my husband and our fur babies. This is a Wikipedia entry about me:
