Prehensile Monkeytailed Skink was formed in Ann Arbor, Michigan in 1991 by Peter Larson, Mark Maynard, Dan Richardson and Matt Krizowsky, the last three of whom would go on to form the one-day-a-year band The Monkey Power Trio in 1995.
