Open Web is a framework through which open source software, open standards, and open content licenses like the Creative Commons can be disseminated through an open Internet framework like pier to pier networking.
The open web is based on using open tools like Mozilla to build on Web 2.0 sites. As groups like the Mozilla Foundation become more involved in open democracy and as the Internet is being used more for a mechnism for more open government, we need to re-think how individuals approach the web and become part of a contribution culture.
