Is the image of a painting or photograph produced by someone who has been dead for more than 70 years?

If no, then is the image the work of the United States federal government or its armed services (but not a state or county in the United States)?

If no, then is the image of a painting or photograph first published in the United States before 1923?

If no, then does the website from which you got the image have a copyright policy page allowing you to download and use the image?

If no, then is the image from Reuters, AP, CNN, the BBC or another news website?

If no, then is the image simply a picture of an object or living people?

If no, then is the image an album, tape, laserdisc, CD, DVD or book cover?

If no, then is the image a piece of art, or a still image from a film or TV program?

If no, then is the image a company’s, school’s or team’s official logo?
