Donald G. Scragg was Professor Emeritus of Anglo-Saxon studies at the University of Manchester. He was the founder Director of the Manchester Centre for Anglo-Saxon Studies.[1] He was also one of the founders of the Teachers of Old English in Britain and Ireland scholarly association.[2]
