Kristin's Peer Review

[edit]

Hi Mcramer2017,

After reviewing the article you chose, I have a few suggestions on information you could potentially add during your editing process:

  1. This article doesn't seem to have much information so any additional information/citations that you could add would be a great improvement
  2. Expand the lead section - it's very limited
  3. If you can find the information, maybe add more sections pertaining to diet, predators, physiology, and adaptations to their environment
  4. I would also move the last little bit under the "Interaction with humans" section about their status (near threatened) to the section on conservation -- seems like it would fit better there

Just a few thoughts, happy editing!

Mcramer2017's Peer Review Response

[edit]

Hello Ktreat88,

Thank you very much for your peer review of the Indo-Pacific Humpbacked Dolphin Wikipedia article. I completely agree that this article had much room for improvement. I developed a draft of the article in my Sandbox section, taking into account your various comments and suggestions. Firstly, I heavily expanded the "Lead" section, organizing it in a manner that made it far more wholesome. Generally, I made major contributions to all sections of the article, including the inclusion of more reliable citations (articles from peer-reviewed journals).

I specifically implemented your suggestions on the development of information about the species' dietary habits and physiology. I am currently in search for more information about their natural predators (to provide a full ecological-structure perspective) as well as specific evolutionary adaptations they may have developed for their specific habitat.

If you would like to take a look at my developed draft, please refer to my Sandbox (lower sections).

Thanking you in advance! Mcramer2017 (talk) 20:07, 4 March 2018 (UTC)mcramer2017
