Stuart McColl Auto Body Software Developer.
Stuart McColl develops bodyshop software operating as the President of Combined Computer Technology, Inc., a Washington State Corporation.
Originally born and raised in San Diego, Mr. McColl graduated from Patrick Henry High School in San Diego. Stuart McColl demonstrated programming capability at a young age and also showed an interest in Auto Mechanics and Collision Repair - eventually working as a bodyman and painter. Later, he accepted an opportunity to study accounting at the University of Colorado at Boulder. Upon graduation from college, Mitchell International in San Diego hired him to develop and support auto body software. Within 5 years, McColl moved on to found his own company Combined Computer Technology specializing in collision repair software or also called auto body software.
Exchanging estimates electronically was a primary problem in the early 1990s for the entire body shop industry. Both body shop owners, information estimating system providers, and autobody software sytems could not exchange information freely. At that time the CIECA or Collision Industry Electronic Commerce Association, bridging system was proposed to assist the entire industry. Stuart McColl was a primary advocate of this standard and was featured in a front page article in the nationally distributed magazine ABRN Auto Body Repair News magazine. This critical news coverage helped catapult Combined Computer Technology onto the national scene.
Stuart McColl and Combined Computer Techology are headquartered in Sequim, WA.
