From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Hello! My name is mayawagon. I am a quiet wikipedian, mainly fixing people's typos, and uncovering hidden histories. I make edits year-round, and tend to be motivated about once a year to go to an edit-a-thon to edit in more depth. In 2014 I worked with some folks from Localwiki to organize a City Knowledge Share about San Francisco (we named it that because many people we spoke to were intimidated by the phrase "edit-a-thon"). This was one event in a long line of projects I've participated in in order to demystify and democratize technology.

I have been editing Wikipedia for 9 years, 1 month and 17 days
(i.e. since October 16, 2015)!
