Filmmaker, Designer, Writer, and Creative Problem Solver.
A passionate filmmaker and storyteller, Max pursues film and other related arts at his public high school in Millburn, New Jersey, as well as at NYFA in Union Square.
2012
- Won an award for 'Best Special Effects' in an annual media arts- awards ceremony at the high school.
- Won 4th place in the first annual Millburn Film Fest.
- Created the official "USY on Wheels" promotional video for the United Synagogue Youth.
2013
- "In Plain Sight" a short film by Tyler Corsello and Max Retik, is entered into the 2013 National Film Festival for Talented Youth (NFFTY).
- "Super," a short film by Tyler Corsello and Max Retik, starring Samuel Dantowitz, and "Pack Mule," by Max Retik, both accepted into the second annual Millburn Film Fest.
- Accepted a scholarship to produce promotional videos for USY's Summer Programs in Israel over the summer.
