Miss Venezuela 1984 was the 31st Miss Venezuela pageant, televised live by Venevisión. It was held at the Macuto Sheraton Hotel in Caraballeda, Vargas, Venezuela on May 11, 1984.
At the end of the event, Paola Ruggeri of Portuguesa crowned Carmen María Montiel of Zulia as Miss Venezuela 1984. She represented Venezuela at the Miss Universe 1984 pageant placing as 2rd runner-up.
Also, Astrid Carolina Herrera of Miranda, that year's runner-up, would later go on to become Miss World 1984, winning the third title for the country.
Since this edition, the general direction of the program was entrusted to producer Erik Simonato.

[edit]Miss Trujillo, Anabella Beiner Ruíz, withdrew from the competition due to undisclosed reasons. Meanwhile, two contestans were replaced, Virginia Pinto Cohen by Antoinette Medina as Miss Distrito Federal and Carol Presley by María Morales as Miss Monagas.
