Notes and Questions to Consider for Assigned Articles
[edit]Comments and questions are based on general consensus drawn from article talk pages.
- Sin
- The article should mention the concept of divinity.
- Should a distinction between the different kinds of sins be considered?
- If sin is a religious concept, should it be treated as non-secular?
- The talk page wants a verdict: should the page be treated as strictly Abrahamic or as a generalized idea of religious offense. To this, I think the page should retain an Abrahamic focus because there are external pages for non-Abrahamic views on sin.
- Suspension of disbelief
- There is debate as to whether Aristotle should be credited with being the first descriptor of the term in his Poetics. This stance currently stands in the lede.
- Is it "Willing Suspension of Disbelief" or "Suspension of Disbelief"? Should the idea of willingness be expanded upon?
- "Poetry and fiction involving the supernatural had gone out of fashion to a large extent in the 18th century..." needs a citation.
- "In Coleridge also referred to his concept as "poetic faith", citing the concept as a feeling analogous to the supernatural, which awakens the mind." typo.
- Is suspension of disbelief a concept or a theory?
- "With the exception of totally color blind people (achromats), no person viewing these films sees the real world without color..." is this necessary?
- The examples in literature section is too empty. There should be reference to the originator of the concept, Coleridge.
- Norman Holland idea in the Psychology section needs a citation.
