Notes and Questions to Consider for Assigned Articles

[edit]

Comments and questions are based on general consensus drawn from article talk pages.

  1. Sin
    1. The article should mention the concept of divinity.
    2. Should a distinction between the different kinds of sins be considered?
    3. If sin is a religious concept, should it be treated as non-secular?
    4. The talk page wants a verdict: should the page be treated as strictly Abrahamic or as a generalized idea of religious offense. To this, I think the page should retain an Abrahamic focus because there are external pages for non-Abrahamic views on sin.
  1. Suspension of disbelief
    1. There is debate as to whether Aristotle should be credited with being the first descriptor of the term in his Poetics. This stance currently stands in the lede.
    2. Is it "Willing Suspension of Disbelief" or "Suspension of Disbelief"? Should the idea of willingness be expanded upon?
    3. "Poetry and fiction involving the supernatural had gone out of fashion to a large extent in the 18th century..." needs a citation.
    4. "In Coleridge also referred to his concept as "poetic faith", citing the concept as a feeling analogous to the supernatural, which awakens the mind." typo.
    5. Is suspension of disbelief a concept or a theory?
    6. "With the exception of totally color blind people (achromats), no person viewing these films sees the real world without color..." is this necessary?
    7. The examples in literature section is too empty. There should be reference to the originator of the concept, Coleridge.
    8. Norman Holland idea in the Psychology section needs a citation.
