User:Mathglot/sandbox/Templates/Template:Translate attreq
It is suspected that this article may contain translated content, either from a Wikipedia sister project which would require attribution, or from an external source which might be a copyright violation. Without a source this cannot be definitively determined. |
This template uses Lua: |
If you suspect an article contains unattributed translated content, place this tag on the article's talk page. This tag should not be substituted.
Usage
[edit]To use this tag, include your signature and the full url of the version that you suspect may have unattributed translated content. Because the url will contain an equals sign, you must precede the url with url=.
For example:
{{Translate attreq|~~~|url=http://xy.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Foreign_article_name&oldid=987654321|date=December 2024}}
Results in:
Your signature suspects that this article (specifically this version) may contain translated content, either from a Wikipedia sister project which would require attribution, or from an external source which might be a copyright violation. Without a source this cannot be definitively determined. (December 2024) |
The |section=
parameter, when set to any value, will substitute the word "section" for "article".
For example:
{{Translate attreq|url=http://xy.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Foreign_article_name&oldid=987654321|date=December 2024|section=yes}}
Results in:
It is suspected that this section (specifically this version) may contain translated content, either from a Wikipedia sister project which would require attribution, or from an external source which might be a copyright violation. Without a source this cannot be definitively determined. (December 2024) |
You can also specify the talkpage section where this issue is discussed like this:
{{Translate attreq|url=http://xy.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Foreign_article_name&oldid=987654321|date=December 2024|talk=Why I suspect unattributed translation in this article}}

This template will add tagged articles to Category:Suspected unattributed translations without a source, or a dated subcategory thereof.
