It is an accepted idea that judges have discretion to stray from the rules of law and procedure in situations where strict adherence to the rules of law may not result in justice; however a growing number of groups in this country think that judges too often abuse this discretion, and even openly violate our due process rights... and that something needs to be done about it.

JAIL4Judges is one group working on a solution. They have chapters all over the country [1] The J.A.I.L. amendment is one of 3 major grassroots initiatives endorsed by the Citizens' Forum On Judicial Accountability
