Mark Koltko-Rivera has been a Wikipedian since April 2013. Depending on one's historical perspective, he can be described as having been raised either on the Lower East Side, or in the East Village, of the borough of Manhattan in New York City. He has lived for extended periods in Japan and Florida, and on the Main Line of Philadelphia. Following a nearly six-year residency in Midtown Manhattan (2008-2014), he moved to Bergen County, New Jersey in May, 2014. He is a writer and entrepreneur.

Education

This Wikipedian holds a doctoral degree[1] in counseling psychology from New York University.

Professional interests

His professional interests within psychology include: the worldview construct; futurism; humanistic psychology, transpersonal psychology, and the psychology of religion; theory construction and testing; human factors psychology and human enhancement; psychotherapy in general, and psychoanalysis and analytical (Jungian) therapy in particular; and, psychometrics as applied to each of these areas.

Honors

For his scholarship within psychology, he has been elected a Fellow of the American Psychological Association (APA),[1] and has received awards from the Society for Humanistic Psychology,[2] the Society for the Psychology of Religion and Spirituality,[3] and the Society for General Psychology[4] (all divisions of APA).
