1.18 Tarball
We're down to 3 bugs in the 1.18 milestone now after only mentioning the milestone bugs once on wikitech-l. That, plus the triage of the bugs on Friday shows, I think, just about the right balance — the reminder on the list was probably just enough reminding and the triage report today will probably “complete” the reminder.
After these three bugs are addressed (either by fixing them or removing them from the tarball milestone), I'll post an update to wikitech-l about the highest priority bugs.
(Brion reminded me to get busy on bugs that I've marked up in priority. I appreciate this reminder — and I think we'll continue to see results this week.)
FIXME Chasing
After Sumana and I re-instituted the MediaWiki roadmap/1.18/Revision report, we got the FIXMEs down to two on 1.18. I'll continue to hound the devs on this.
Patch applying
Finally I spent some time working on patches. While trying to test a patch, I came across a bug in copy-by-url. But I have found that working through patches helps me learn more about MediaWiki's functionality.
Note that last week's TODOs gave these stats: “39 from the last 2 weeks”. While I didn't get through all 39 patches, the past 3 weeks now shows only 16 patches including 7 from the past week.
