Since I neglected writing a report last week, this one accounts for two weeks. Monday was a holiday and today I took a sick day, so I'll today the end of the week.

Acheivements

[edit]
Actually deploy 1.17 [DONE]
My responsibility here was basically greasing the wheels, not the actual deploy.
Really get through November's and October's bugzilla [PARTIAL]
Got through November, working on October.
Look at bugzilla plugins [NOT DONE]
I am still figuring out how to use Bugzilla.
Test Wikipedia dump on Pg install [DONE]
Reported several bugs, found a possible problem with transactions that is bigger than Pg.

Bonus

[edit]
Had a great conversation with the Features team.
After my “run in” with them on the UploadWizard, we had a chance to talk about my role and how we can work together. It was a good chance to discuss what the bugmeister role is and how it relates to WMF's paid developers, their project managers, and the projects that WMF is actively developing (e.g. Article feedback). It good to establish boudaries of our work and make it clear what my role was in the wider scope.
1.17 Sprint
With the help of the other developers, I think we've got a good list of 1.17 “tarball” blockers together. Last Friday night, with Robla’s consent, I put together a “1.17 Sprint” and got a really good response. I hope to publish an updated list tomorrow. Or, at least, fix the PostgreSQL installer.

Objectives

[edit]
Clear half of the “blocker” bugs
Determine if Pg transactions were a symptom of bigger transaction problems
Schedule another call, this time with the OPs team
