Welcome to Wikipedia, MarcusHookPa! I am WereSpielChequers and have been editing Wikipedia for quite some time. I just wanted to say hi and welcome you to Wikipedia! If you have any questions, feel free to leave me a message on my talk page or by typing {{helpme}} at the bottom of this page. I love to help new users, so don't be afraid to leave a message! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Oh yeah, I almost forgot, when you post on talk pages you should sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); that should automatically produce your username and the date after your post. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and ask your question there. Again, welcome!

Your comment at AN3 would be helpful

[edit]

Hello Marcus. If you are in fact planning to take a break from editing the Subaru articles, please leave a comment at Wikipedia:AN3#User:MarcusHookPa reported by User:Mr.choppers (Result: ). This might allow that report to be closed. Thank you, EdJohnston (talk) 02:55, 16 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I will do that, thank you again for your help. MarcusHookPa (talk) 03:04, 16 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for responding there. You didn't actually say you were planning to stop work on the Subaru articles. Getting that clear would be helpful. EdJohnston (talk) 03:19, 16 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Will do, thank you again.MarcusHookPa (talk) 03:20, 16 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Subaru Outback and friends

[edit]

I just wanted to invite you to a second discussion regarding whether the Subaru Outback deserves a standalone article or if it ought to be merged into the relevant generational articles of Subaru Legacy (and Impreza). Thank you,  ⊂| Mr.choppers |⊃  (talk) 08:33, 17 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The Original Barnstar
I couldn't find the "most improved editor" barnstar, but I am really impressed that we were able to come to an agreement at Subaru Outback and now your complete backflip at Subaru Impreza. Regards, OSX (talkcontributions) 10:15, 28 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you, as soon as I have time, I will return the favor. I will continue work on the second generation Impreza article when I have a chance; there is surprisingly very little information on the Outback Sport that we have to work with. MarcusHookPa (talk) 18:45, 28 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Chichester

[edit]

A couple of questions:

  • Why do you insist on "whitewashing" your talkpage? The steady removal of any less than flattering comments don't exactly make you look very trustworthy. No policy against it, just wondering.
  • Why the linking of your userpage to Chichester? It is very annoying and confusing. It may also lead to people attempting to contact you via the Chichester talkpage rather than your own. Again, why???

Curiously yours,  Mr.choppers | ✎  05:12, 27 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Laziness, but if it confuses people, I will create a user page. I keep whitewashing it because the discussion is outdated, if you disagree with me doing this, I will stop. Thank you, MarcusHookPa (talk) 16:36, 27 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I don't disagree (you can do whatever you want on your user talkpage), I just think it makes you look bad. No userpage at all is better than a confusing redirect, or you could make a soft redirect.  Mr.choppers | ✎  16:40, 27 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
