September 2017: After wrestling with thickets, navigating barbed wire, and questioning every life choice up to this point, the next step remains unclear. Somewhere in the distance, opportunity hides, or maybe it’s just another patch of impenetrable jungle. The search continues, though perhaps the real discovery was sitting down to wonder if it’s all worth it.

My name is Marcos Rodríguez Bobadilla. I am an independent researcher, science teacher and naturalist living in the Dominican Republic. I have a special interest in the amphibians and reptiles of the West Indies. My role model has always been Albert Schwartz, and I dream of continuing his work. I spend a lot of my time in the field, exploring new places and finding interesting creatures. I also enjoy creating and editing Wikipedia articles.
