utiliVisor utiliVisor is an energy advisory firm based New York, NY that specializes in energy metering and monitoring based commissioning projects based on HVAC plant analysis. The firm has 32 years of experience installing, servicing, reading and billing utility submeters. It’s patented technologies include a web interface for remote monitoring of HVAC systems and submetering systems.
Continuous Energy Oversight
[edit]In 2004 utiliVisor began installing remote reading systems for energy and other utility service (water, natural gas, steam, HVAC) meters. utiliVisor now offers a webpage showing all of a client’s utility consumption and cost information in real-time.
utiliVisor has over 500 sites under its utility metering services business, responsible for over 10,000 meters. For these projects utiliVisor reads and bills the meters on a monthly basis, in addition to acting as a utility meter retailer. Sites use these services to recover utilities expenses from their tenants.
Plant Analysis
[edit]utiliVisor uses its utility metering and remote reading capabilities to collect data on HVAC systems, chillers and air handlers for large buildings such as hospitals, universities and Class A office space.[1] The utilivisor system monitors and trends data, including instantaneous KW from critical systems, water pressures and temperatures, and fan speed, over time. Operating engineers use this information to develop more energy efficient methods of running the building’s HVAC, lighting, boiler, and RTU systems.[2] This data is then used for monitoring based commissioning projects that decrease the systems energy consumption while maintaining a temperate climate within the facility.[3]
