Raghuraman Panicker (born 30 September 1962) is a advocate and social worker, known for his long-standing role as the Managing Trustee of the Avanangattilkalari Sree Vishnumaya Temple in Thrissur[1], Kerala.He serves as the State President of the Kerala Jyotish Parishath[2], an organization that has made significant contributions to the study of the ancient science of astrology. He is also the manager of Pampoor A.V.M. L.P. School[3], Mangattukara Sri Sai Vidyapeedham[4], Managing Director of A.V.S. Panicker Memorial Institute of Astrology, Patron of Irinjalakuda Unnayi Warrier Kalanilayam, Managing Director of Sarvathobhadram Kalakendram, Sarvathobhadram Medical, and Sarvathobhadram Organics. He holds several other cultural, service, and advisory positions, such as the patron of Thrissur Wrestling Association, Chief Patron of Thrissur Kabaddi Association, Lions Club Zonal Chairman, Director of Thalam Cultural Center, President of Thrissur Weightlifting Association, and Chief Patron of Nanma Cultural Center. Additionally, he is a trustee and advisor to numerous temples under and outside the Devaswom Board, actively participating in various social and cultural organizations. .

Early Life and Education

Raghuraman Panicker was born to A R Unnikrishnan Panicker and Jayalakshmi Unnikrishnan on 30 September 1962 in Kizhakkumuri, Thrissur, Kerala. He completed his early education at S.N. College, Nattika, where he earned a pre-degree qualification from June 1985 to March 1987. He later pursued a Bachelor of Legislative Law degree from Kerala Law Academy Law College, Thiruvananthapuram, completing his studies in March 1990.

Career

Panicker's career is centered around his role as the Managing Trustee of Avanangattilkalari Sree Vishnumaya Temple. Since assuming office in March 1980, he has been instrumental in managing the temple's religious activities, as well as its associated schools and clinics, which serve the local community. His leadership has been key in the temple's development and its role as a cultural and religious hub in the region.


Public Service

Panicker is also known for his contributions as a social worker and legal professional. He briefly practiced law before dedicating himself full-time to his responsibilities at the temple and in the community.

Award

In 2009, he was honored with the "Samhita 2009" award from the Travancore Maharaja Marthanda Varma. He has also received the Mother Teresa Award from Minister G. R. Anil and the Icon Award from Kerala Kaumudi newspaper. Other awards include the Sree Dharmasastha Award, the "Kalarikulapati" Award from Kalari.com, Jyotisha Kulapati Award, P. N. Panicker Foundation Award, and the Eminent Fitness Trainer (EFTOYA) Award, among others.

Personal Life

Raghuraman Panicker is married to Kadalasseri Parappurath Kalari Suneetha Raghuram. They have four children: Devapriya, Devananda, Devamitra, and Devasuakta.
