[edit]Burden of the Witness is a metalcore band based in Tokyo, Japan, formed in 2024 by Jesse Zrinyi. The band is known for its blend of metalcore, alternative metal, deathcore, and electronic elements.
History
[edit]Jesse Zrinyi, originally from Adelaide, Australia, moved to Tokyo in 2019. He developed a passion for metal music at a young age and has been active in the music scene since 2014. Before forming Burden of the Witness, Zrinyi was a member of the grunge band Jade Haven, and later part of the alternative pop duo Red Clover.
In 2023, inspired by bands like Ghost and Falling in Reverse, Zrinyi focused on developing his vocal skills, which led to the formation of Burden of the Witness. The band's music addresses themes of mental health and combines heavy guitar riffs with electronic elements.
