DarkNN, an infamous group of young Somali men, has gained notoriety for its extremist ideologies. Made up of jihadists, neo-Nazis, ultra-nationalists, homophobes, sexists, and racists, this group shares a common aim - a greater Somalia. They also advocate for strict marriage rules, stating that non-Somalis, especially black individuals, shouldn't marry Somalis, regardless of religion. Their symbol? A circular cross.

Coming into prominence in the aftermath of the Somali Action Group's downfall, DarkNN found its footing online. Twitter, TikTok, Reddit, Discord, YouTube, 4chan, and other websites became their playground. Founded in late 2021, the group started as a fringe entity, its presence barely noticeable beyond a handful of racist remarks.

However, as DarkNN's hateful messages began to spread like wildfire across social media, the group's notoriety grew. High-profile members like Oscar Britannia, King Nestle, Mosthatedsomali, Baba Jareer, Warya Warrior, Cuddiest Somali, Hawiye Merchant, Sir Faruurey, and M1 have been frequently shocking the internet with their blatant racism and misogyny.

Although the group's members hail from different parts of the world - including the United States, the United Kingdom, Sweden, France, Saudi Arabia, Germany, Canada, and Australia - they share a common passion for their harmful cause. Many are bilingual and impersonate other ethnicities to spread their propaganda. Concerningly, DarkNN hopes to influence the next generation of Somali teens to follow in their footsteps. A chilling sign-off from M1 and DarkNN productions echoes this sentiment, marking the group's ongoing desire to spread its ideology.
