From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

New article name is DI*ove. DI*ove is a Belgian music band, constituted of Eric Lucca (music, arrangements, production) and Luc Huygh (lyrics, vocals). The band has a long-standing record in different incarnations among which Escape Industry (http://www.lazone.be/archives/200012/journal/ele.html) is the most notable. The band profiled itself as an EBM vehicle (http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Electronic_body_music) along the lines of Front 242, Nitzer Ebb et al. Escape Industry was formed of Lucca and two mates of his native Oupeye region (Liège, Belgium) in the early 90s. Riding the EBM wave, the trio went on to record a demo that caused quite the riot among the fans of that type of music. Alas, the original fire slowly started to die because of internal differences of musical opinion and eventually the band split up in 1999.

Lucca went on to start his own solo project called Evoid. Three CDs would be released independently in the period spanning between 2000 and 2004. It featured electronic music combining minimalism, a hint of melody and a a very heavy, industrial baseline, most of the time not entirely by the book but never devoid of caustic humour.

This trilogy seemed to break grounds for another music direction which would leave more space for singing lines and the need to attract outside talent. Wham This is where Luc Huygh came into the picture, in charge of lyrics, vocal arrangements and vocals. In DI*ove's current line up, there is a clear and distinct effort towards more pop-oriented harmonies and vocal arrangements. The band's biography is very tongue in cheek and does not reveal much about its history. However, they have decided to out themselves more. In that very sense, they have released a video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RQggx86EXeo

The band's music can be downloaded for free on KNovel's website.
