Social(k) is a financial retirement platform for 401(k), 403(b), and profit sharing plans. The platform offers over 2,000 funds for companies and financial advisors to offer their employees and clients, with an emphasis on funds that adhere to a strict standard of social responsibility. The company is a prominent provider of retirement plans within the Socially Responsible Investment (SRI) sector, and has gained notability in the SRI sector for handling the retirement plans of prominent values-based companies such as Honest Tea[1], Green America, and Moveon.org.[2]
Social(k) was established in 2005 by current company President, Rob Thomas. The company donates 8.5% of pre-tax gross profits to charity, in support of the One Percent for the Planet organization.[3]
