Lugal is the online handle of Dr. Paul C. Zimmerman.

I hold a PhD from the Department of Anthropology at the University of Pennsylvania for archaeological research conducted on the ancient settlement patterns of the Wadi Hadramawt, Yemen. I have also written on the tombs of the Royal Cemetery of Ur (Iraq), and have worked extensively at Petra, Jordan, as well as a range of other sites across the Middle East.

Currently out of academia, I am the Systems Manager for The Dalton School, an independent K–12 in Manhattan, NY.
