Bio

[edit]

Hi, I'm a student in college who lives in Pacific northwest and was born in a country in the South East Asia. I love playing sports and doing physical activities especially swimming. I started swim when I was in sixth grade and continued until graduated high school. I like biking, doing outdoor adventures, and I also like dancing, but I'm not a professional at it. Although, I can dance but it has to be choreographed.

I use Wikipedia most of the times in my classes when I need to research something. Not all wikipedia articles are accurate because some of them were vandalized so, I still look for other articles and base on Wikipedia's article to see if it is similar from the articles I just read. As I grow up, I've known wikipedia since when I was in elementary school until now I still use it. It's amazing how I learned so much from the articles on this website and helped me graduate in high school from most of my research topics. Thank you for visiting my use page.

Article Evaluation

[edit]

Subic Zambales is a place in the Philippines that I've been wanting to explore. I've been in some places in the town but not quite half of it. It may seem a small town but it has a lot of marvelous places that you can visit. I visited the Subic, Zambales page on Wikipedia and found three aspects of it worth commenting on: emphasis, grammar, and citations.

Emphasis

[edit]

As I read the article about Subic Zambales, I noticed that they did not include any tourist attractions or the beautiful places to go to in town. Wikipedia's articles usually have this content to attract people to go to a certain place, especially if they love traveling. Therefore, if this article consisted more information about tourist attractions, it would be more interesting and reliable.

Grammar

[edit]

As I am reading the article, I noticed that there are some grammatical errors and typos on the article. You can barely see it but I still fixed it anyway since it's important to have the correct grammar and spelling especially it is posted in public. The article is pretty long and have its specifications about the place, so you can easily missed the mistakes if you read it fast.

Citations

[edit]

The article is has a lot of decent information, but if you look at the citations section, there are only twelve of them, and they are not current as well. I clicked on one of the citations, and it did not relate to what the article was saying and was unnecessary. Citations is what makes a Wikipedia page reliable. This page is not as reliable because of it's lack of citations and unnecessary links.

Summary

[edit]

In general, I would give this article seven out of ten. The information, history, education, economy, government, etc., are very good, but the citations are not current and accurate. The readers are expecting that what they're looking for is current and should have more reliable sources. There is also a piece of information that they did not include in this article, which I think would be marvelous if they add tourist attractions. This would be amazing to include, since the page is a place that not everyone can go to. As a reader that wants to travel, first, I will look up the place that I want to go to. I want to see something interesting about the the page that I'm reading about.
