This is a route-map template for the North Side Main Line, a rapid transit line in Chicago.

Note: Per consensus and convention, most route-map templates are used in a single article in order to separate their complex and fragile syntax from normal article wikitext. See these discussions [1],[2] for more information.

The map depicts the line circa 1907.

Stations were added at Willow (in 1905) and Oak (in 1906) as part of the franchise agreement with the city of Chicago for the construction of the Ravenswood branch. The Ravenswood branch itself, opened in 1907, joining the main line just south of Clark. Also in 1907, an additional ground level station was added at Wilson (Lower Wilson) for express trains to relieve congestion at the Wilson terminal. Locals continued to use the elevated station while express trains operated out of Lower Wilson.
