Rimstock Plc. is an aluminium wheel manufacturer based in the West Midlands in the UK and is the UK's leading manufacturer of alloy wheels. They specialise in the production of commercial wheels and purpose built race wheels for automotive manufacturers and motorsport race series worldwide, boasting the largest and most advanced design and wheel manufacturing facilities in the UK.

Formed in 1985 by Steve Neal, father of Matt Neal, and associate Directors as Rimstock Ltd initially employing circa 11 employees which its main call of business being distribution of steel chrome white and 8 spoke wheels for the Brazilian wheel manufacturer Mangels. Prior to this their main business was in the manufacture of race steering wheels and the customisation of cars with possible being the most famous of their creations at the time being the 6 wheeled Jaguar built by Graham Swan under the order of 100+ Motorsport Ltd.

It later went on to change to Plc status some 10 years later and has grown to be the largest UK based manufacturer of alloy wheels now employing 245 people. Initially its primary business was low pressure casting (permanent mold casting) but in the last ten years has developed forged alloy products and reinforced its design and development capabilities to further compliment the manufacturing side of the business.

70% of production is for a raft of the top name OEM's and Tuners, Rimstock's historical own brand was 100+ , however has now been developed very successfully in to the Team Dynamics Motorsport Ltd brand of wheels for the motorsport and performance markets. It has a close relationship with Team Dynamics Motorsport Ltd who work closely with Honda UK and Manufacturing in Swindon, TDM design, build and race cars primarily in the British Touring Car Championship and have built cars to win no less than 5 drivers titles.

Forged: Concept

Rimstock has forging in house facilities available to them, letting them create one off concept wheels for manufacturers such as Jaguar Land Rover, Lotus, Toyota, Nissan and Ford for motorshows worldwide including New York, Geneva, Frankfurt and Paris.

Forged: Production

They are a world leader in manufacturing niche production forged alloy wheels for premium costumers including, Aston Martin, Lotus and the V8 Supercars. Forging wheels has the advantage of being able to produce them much stinger and lighter, being able to save 30% of weight than achievable by casting, meaning less energy is required to change the force of the wheels/car, in turn improving cars acceleration, handling, braking, suspension and wear and tear.

Cast Wheel Production & Supply

A large part of Rimstock's business comes from the supply of cast aluminium wheels to a wide range of markets from, OEM customers, to Motorsport, defence and its own aftermarket ranges under the Team Dynamics brand, designing wheels for purpose with qualities such as, lightness for motorsport, run flat systems and load bearing for defence, brake protection for rally and aesthetics.

Alloy Wheel Refurbishment

Rimstock also performs wheel refurbishments with certified OEM treatments and paint finishes with all facilities to complete the whole refurbishment process on site. some of their client base for this market are; unique collectors cars, private individuals, vehicle manufacturers, importers after large scale solutions and race car manufactures/historical racecars.

Involvement in Motorsport

British Touring Car Championship

Rimstock has Been heavily involved in the BTCC since the early 90s initially promoting the successful 100+ brand, they have now grown and developed becoming the main supplier of wheels to the championship with the Team Dynamics Pro Race 1.2 wheel being the main regulated choice of wheel. They have also run the Team Dynamics race team extremely successfully since 1991 with 5 drivers championship wins in partnership with Honda and 6 separate Independent drivers wins.

Their involvement in the BTCC began in 1992 during the Super Touring era when the manufactures BMW team run by Vic Lee Racing (formerly Vic Lee Motorsport) running Tim Harvey and Ray Bellm was liquidated mid season due to the teams owner, Vic Lee being arrested under drug trafficking charges whilst Harvey was in line for the championship win. The assets were therefore sold off to Steve Neal and Ray Bellm who together formed Team Dynamics to continue running the team for the rest of the season and went on to win the season with Tim Harvey and creating the motor racing team established today.

World Touring Car Championship

Rimstock also has involvement in the World Touring Car Championship, supplying wheels for LADA Granta race team, the Sabine Schmitz Chevrolet RML Cruize team and were briefly featured as sponsorship on four time WTCC champion Yvan Muller's helmet.

V8 Supercars

Rimstock also have Motorsport connections to the other side of the world to the V8 Supercars in Australia since 2010, when they made the connection with Racer Industries, the main supplier of parts for the race series, manufacturing and distributing the forged alloy wheel to the sport as the main regulated wheel throughout the series.


Spiderzone

Spiderzone is a media design company based on site with Rimstock in West Bromwich, UK. The company was set up in 2000 by the quartet of Rimstock company owner and founder Steve Neal, Marketing director Matt Neal, Richard Tait-Harris and Spiderzone manager Steve Thomas. Thanks to the connection with Rimstock, Spiderzone therefore is in charge of advertisement, PR and event management for the Honda (Team Dynamics) race team at the BTCC, as well as managing events for Yuasa, Honda UK, Michelin, and Sea Isle Caribbean foods.

As well as this spiderzone also looks after and designs advertisements for high profile clients including; Team Dynamics, Rimstock, Yuasa, Young Enterprise, KTC, ODEON, Barnfield, ONKYO, Castrol, MJC Group, Jeff Banks, ESPN, BOSCH, Michelin, Honister, Bendi and Valvoline.
