Leben

Rosenblum wurde in Tel Aviv geboren.[1] Er war musikalischer Chordirektor der IDF in den 1960er und 1970er Jahren.[2]

Rosenblum komponierte die Musik für die Armee und Marine der IDF, die er auch leitete; insbesondere war er bekannt für das Lid Shir L'ShalomSong for Peace (1970).[3][4] Er komponierte auch die Musik für Film und Fernsehen, und arbeitete zusammen mit einer Reihe von Band- und Choralgruppen.[1][5][6][7] Er leitete ebenso die jährlichen israelischen Musikfestivals.[1][2] Er schrieb mehr als 1.000 Lieder, darunter "Ammunition Hill" (1967), "In a Red Dress," "The Beautiful Life," "Tranquility," "Hallelujah," und " Womit werde ich ihn segnen."[2][8]

He died in Holon in 1996, at the age of 52, after a two-year illness.[2]

After his death, his daughter Karen received the lifetime achievement award on his behalf at the ACUM (Association of Composers and Publishers) Awards ceremony.[9]

In 2005, he was voted the 159th-greatest Israeli of all time, in a poll by the Israeli news website Ynet to determine whom the general public considered the 200 Greatest Israelis.[10]
