  Hello I am a teacher from Kenya with interest in Educational development specifically on the well being of teachers.

We have heard cases where teachers result to violence when punishing students and all the time we point figures at the teachers no one bothers to get to the core of the matter and find out why the teacher behaved the way he or she did. Half the time these teachers are going through psychological breakdowns and there is no one that bothers to check on them.

Most schools have a counsellor for the students but are the teachers catered for or there work is just to teach and head home?
