History
[edit]2009-11: Formation and The X Factor
[edit]2 Shoes was formed in 2009, orignally called "New Shoes", and have performed at various live destinations such as pubs and clubs. They first auditioned for The X Factor in 2010, but failed to make it past bootcamp.[1]
In 2011, 2 Shoes re-auditioned for The X Factor, and sung All My Life. They recieved positive views from Tulisa, Gary Barlow and Louis Walsh, but Kelly Rowland descirbed their performance as "kareoke".[2] They successfully progressed past the bootcamp challenge, and made it to judges' houses where they performed a piano version of Kesha's Tik Tok. The duo were chosen by Tulisa and Jessie J to go through to the live shows.[3] For the first live show they performed the Girls Aloud track Something Kinda Ooooh, but were elminated from the competition by mentor Tulisa.[4][5] They were given the opportunity to return to the competition through public vote after Frankie Cocoazza was elminated, but were out-voted by Amelia Lily.
2012-present: Debut studio album
[edit]In January 2012, 2 Shoes appeared on This Morning, where they presented a part of the show called "The Hub".[6] In March 2012 they made a short appearence on Celebrity Juice, and will be performing at Poptastic Party in Porthcawl in the summer of 2012.[7]
