The Young and the Restless is an American television soap opera. It was first broadcast on March 26, 1973, and airs on CBS. The following is a list of characters that first appeared in 2020, by order of appearance. All characters were introduced to the series by executive producers Anthony Morina and Josh Griffith.
Tanner Watts
[edit]Tanner Watts, played by Chase Coleman, will make his first appearance—barring preemptions—on January 3, 2020. Coleman's casting was announced on December 18, 2019, by Soap Opera Digest. Described as someone who "has a past connection to someone in Genoa City," the role of Tanner is short-term. Speaking of his casting, he said: "I've been having an absolute blast. I didn't know I was going to have this much fun."[1]
