Reverting

[edit]

Reverting is restoring an edit to a previous version of a page. Reverting usually occurs after a page is vandalized.

How to Revert

[edit]

Click on the History tab and note the revisions (changes) made in the past. To revert an edit, put your mouse over the undo link. Click. The page will be restored to the previous version. This will add a new entry in the page history.

When to Revert

[edit]

You should revert if:

A) The article has been vandalized

In this case, the edit should be revert and reported (but only if the vandal has vandalized the page before).

B) You dislike your change to the page and it would take to long to edit

In the next lesson you will learn how to report to Administrators.
