Texas Lightsmith is an Austin Texas based custom manufacturer of light fixtures, chandeliers, and kitchen appliances such as sinks and range hoods.[1] They have done work for Robert Rodriguez, Bruce Collie, and the Hays County Court House,[2] as well as other prominent projects such as the beer bottle chandeliers and wall sconces for the Pearl Brewery Stable Restoration[3]

History
[edit]Texas Lightsmith was founded by Mr. John W. Worsham III in 1995[4], great-grandson to Ira Hobart Evans, and in 2001 Mr. Trey Jones became Vice President. On February 7th 2006, Texas Lightsmith became an accredited business by the Better Business bureau and currently maintains an A+ rating.[5] In 2009 Texas Lightsmith attended the Kitchen/Bath Industry Show & Conference[6][7] where they were noticed by HGTV for the patent pending Luminescent Series™ which aired on the one hour special, Kitchens & Baths 2009 and premiered on HGTV on Friday May 22 at 8pm[8]
In October of 2011 the wave front apron sink is shown in multiple airings of "I Hate My Kitchen" Episode #303 on the DIY Network [9]
On January 17th 2012 Texas Lightsmith is issued US Patent Number 8096678 for it's Luminescent Series Range Hoods and Farmhouse Sinks [10]
Custom manufacturing & private label
[edit]Texas Lightsmith employs a full range of metal working techniques to manufacture light fixtures, chandeliers, range hoods, farmhouse sinks, pot racks, counter tops, gas lanterns, and post lanterns.
The word Lightsmith was first used by Texas Lightsmith in 1995 by the United States Patent and Trademark Office with the definition as a maker of lighting fixtures[11]
