Lennart Johan Holmquist is an American who currently (2022) lives in Turkey. Born in Chicago, Illinois, he spent most of his childhood, except for two years on Taiwan, in California. Subsequently he has lived in Israel, the Netherlands, Republic of Ireland, Switzerland and Portugal.

Though he graduated with a B.A. degree in social science and an M.A. in theology his career has been in hi-tech where he worked for several companies among which were Apple, Autodesk and Cisco Systems. In the latter company he worked as a technical writer.

His mother was a Swedish immigrant to the United States though she was born in China of Swedish parents. His father was a Swedish American whose family emigrated to the United States from Sweden in the 1880s. Lennart's Wikipedia articles or contributions to others' articles often reflect his background.
