In the early dawn of November 14, 1944, in the small village of Khandoi near Uncha Gaon, Bulandshahr, a remarkable figure was born—Chaudhary Zile Singh Raj</ref>oura. From the very beginning, Zile Singh embodied strength and integrity, values instilled by his parents, Ch Bhoola Singh and Kalawati. As the eldest son, he felt a strong sense of duty, both to his family and his community, and it was clear he was destined for greatness.Growing up, Zile Singh developed a deep love for wrestling. In the dusty akhadas (wrestling pits) of Bulandshahr, he learned not only the art of physical strength but also the discipline and resilience that would guide him through life. Wrestling was more than a pastime for him; it was a philosophy. Every match, every move honed his mental and physical prowess, shaping him into a formidable force on the wrestling mat and in life.His journey, however, extended far beyond the akhadas. Driven by a desire to contribute to his nation, he pursued higher education, earning a master’s degree in agriculture from Lakhawati College in Bulandshahr. This education, coupled with his strong sense of duty, led him to a prestigious career as a Class One officer in the central government. In this role, Zile Singh demonstrated intelligence, ethical leadership, and a commitment to serving his country—qualities that made him both respected and admired by colleagues and his community.Though his career took him far, Zile Singh’s heart always remained rooted in Khandoi. He dreamed of giving back to the village that had nurtured him and envisioned a place where young people could experience the same spirit of resilience and discipline that he had found in wrestling. This dream is now being realized in the form of a stadium under construction in Uncha Gaon, near Khandoi. Scheduled for completion in March 2025, this stadium project was made possible by land granted through the UP Chief Minister’s Matribhoomi Scheme, with construction funds provided by his son in honor of Zile Singh’s vision.This stadium will be more than a structure; it will be a legacy. A sanctuary for aspiring athletes, a place of pride and inspiration, it will stand as a tribute to Zile Singh’s life and values. Here, young boys and girls will learn the values of discipline, strength, and unity. The stadium will serve as a reminder of a man who, through his achievements and ideals, uplifted his community and lived by the highest standards.Chaudhary Zile Singh Rajoura passed away on April 21, 2021, leaving behind his devoted wife, two sons, a daughter, and two beloved grandchildren. His passing left an indelible void in the hearts of his family and all who knew him. Yet, through the stadium in Uncha Gaon, his spirit and values will live on—a beacon of hope and inspiration for future generations, and a lasting reminder of a man whose life was dedicated to something greater than himself.
