History

[edit]

Wilson Perumal & Company was founded in 2009, by Stephen Wilson and Andrei Perumal, both former George Group Consulting[4] principals and leadership team members[5] on the understanding that, “…companies are struggling with the level of complexity in today’s world and need to rethink traditional approaches to strategy and execution.” [6]

Books

[edit]

Waging War on Complexity Costs

[edit]

Waging War on Complexity Costs (McGraw-Hill) explains how complexity costs are the single biggest determinant of a company’s cost competitiveness and outlines methodologies for organizations to identify and eliminate complexity in their business. The book poses that, over the previous years, “…the pursuit of growth has created significant complexity in processes, product portfolios, and organizations, adding costs that companies can ill afford.”[7]

Growth in the Age of Complexity

[edit]

Growth in the Age of Complexity (McGraw-Hill) identifies how complexity has impacted businesses and the markets in which they compete. The book details the strategies, mindsets, and skillsets required to grow profitably while avoiding common pitfalls. Perumal and Wilson also reveal a key insight, the Growth Paradox, which illuminates how the very actions companies take to grow often limit their growth.[8]

Growth in the Age of Complexity reached #12 on the Porchlight Books Bestseller List.[9]

Global Markets Complexity Index

[edit]

The Global Markets Complexity Index (GMCI) is a framework, developed for The Wall Street Journal, to assist companies in assessing geographic expansion. Using machine learning, WP&C assesses 83 countries across 31 measures of market, operational, and regulatory complexity.[10]
