June 2024

[edit]
  1. Nanocrystal: PROD; notified Benmorgan~enwiki (talk · contribs) 00:18, 3 June 2024 (UTC)
    • Reason: The science here is duplicated in Nanoparticle, which is both much more detailed and is also the common name. I don't think a redirect is needed (to Nanoparticle), but that is optional.
  2. Nonmetal (astrophysics): PROD; notified Sandbh (talk · contribs) 19:06, 12 June 2024 (UTC)
    • Reason: All content is already covered in far more detail in Metallicity -- change to a redirect to that page.

September 2024

[edit]
  1. Ali Akbar Rezai: endorsed PROD. 11:47, 10 September 2024 (UTC)
    • Reason: Beyond the lack of sources, this is both badly written and there is no indication it would pass any notability tests.
  2. Black copper: PROD; notified Preimage (talk · contribs) 20:03, 13 September 2024 (UTC)
    • Reason: This is a disambiguation page which has Tenorite, which never mention the name, and a non-existent page. Dismbigustions should only be when there are pages to differentiate, not non-existent ones or those of zero apparent relevance.
  3. L. Wesley Underwood: PROD; notified Davidpgca (talk · contribs) 21:52, 26 September 2024 (UTC)
    • Reason: Page contains 6 sources, but 5 of these do not verify the claims in the document and the other does not talk significantly about the subject. The only possible notability claim is the discovery of a star, but there is no verification of this and nothing in a search.
  4. Chinthamu Narender: PROD; notified Nagarani Bethi (talk · contribs) 15:21, 29 September 2024 (UTC)
    • Reason: The majority of the sources fail to verify the claims, and there is nothing here that passes notability. If the PROD is contested then it will just go to an AfD.

October 2024

[edit]
  1. Shuang-ren Zhao: PROD; notified Imrecons (talk · contribs) 06:36, 1 October 2024 (UTC)
    • Reason: BLP of a scientist with an h-factor of 13, 460 citations and no awards. All sources are his own and improperly cited. I see zero chance of rescuing this, it does not belong on Wikipedia.
  2. Artificial cell nucleus: PROD; notified Arwenz (talk · contribs) 12:29, 19 October 2024 (UTC)
    • Reason: This is effectively a news article. Wikipedia is for accepted information, not new advanced. Please look at WP:TOOSOON, & WP:NOT.
  3. Energy-assisted magnetic recording: PROD; notified Arwenz (talk · contribs) 12:34, 19 October 2024 (UTC)
    • Reason: Both heat and microwave assisted magnetic recording pages already exist. There is no reason to duplicate.
  4. Workspace as a Service: PROD; notified Arwenz (talk · contribs) 12:39, 19 October 2024 (UTC)
    • Reason: There is already an entry in As a service. At most this should be replaced by a redirect and the sources added to that page.

November 2024

[edit]
  1. Infrared non-destructive testing of materials: PROD; notified Zdeněk Veselý (talk · contribs) 20:31, 13 November 2024 (UTC)
    • Reason: Page only cites as sources the web site of a group that no longer exists. There is no significant use of this term, not close to viable notability or verifiability.
  2. Forbon: PROD; notified Rsammas (talk · contribs) 20:38, 13 November 2024 (UTC)
    • Reason: Minimal coverage and no sources.
  3. Solid surface: PROD; notified Lgchemeurope (talk · contribs) 02:54, 22 November 2024 (UTC)
    • Reason: The term "Solid surface" has a very different definition. This page is WP:SYNTH and WP:OR of a number of commercial products. They are in the pages of the relevant companies, and there is nothing useful here. A redirect to Surface would not be particularly useful.
