Larry Dewayne Smith was born in Houston, Texas on February 14, 1977 to Pastor Russell and Rosie Smith. As a child, his parents always made sure that he and his siblings went to church every week at their home church Macedonia Baptist Church in Houston, Texas

Smith graduated from Lamar High School in 1994 and landed at the [University of Texas] with a Full Football scholarship (Tightend). Smith had a knee injury in the summer of 1996 that put him on the sideline for the remainder of the time that he was at University Texas.

Although he was a Pastor’s son he resisted his ministry calling (until his father passed 1997) and pursued a career in marketing where he work for AG Marketing and the William Morris Agency. Most notably as the Media Buyer for the following tours: Patti LaBelle, Bryant McKnight, The O’Jays, The King of Comedy Tour and many more.

Married to Jacquelyn Anne, on Saturday June 26, 1999, L. Dewayne Smith wed Jacquelyn Anne in an elaborate ceremony with over 500 guests in attendance and Jacquelyn wearing a 3.76 carat diamond ring. There are (3) Children that was born out of this union(names and ages are being withheld per request JAS) In 2005, the marriage began to fall apart. This noted couple separated in February 2006.

November 2000, L. Dewayne Smith and The Victory Family recorded their first album entitled "I Know That I'm Saved". Gospel Tours: John P Kee, Not Guilty and Tour of Hope with Yolanda Adams. On Jan. 2, 2006, L. Dewayne’s sister Carol had feelings that her brother was depressed and that his marriage was about to fall apart, therefore she entered his picture into Ebony’s Annual Bachelor Profile, but the process had ended. Although he was not selected, one of their representative was also putting together a compilation for Atlanta Journal and Smith was selected as on of the Hot Atlanta 10. Soon after, while speaking at a conference in Dallas, TX Smith was approached in the Galleria Mall and selected as Dallas, Texas (Dallas News) Bachelor of the Year for his rugged good looks and community service. He stated he knew then, that God had a purpose for him and that his marriage had to end in order for him to live.

Traditional Christians who hold to the historic Christian faith questions, Mrs. Smith statement that she is a minister and Larry’s promotion of his wife to become a nationally known speaker. Although Minister Larry Dewayne Smith is a sought after speaker for singles and youth conference throughout this nation, there is no document that supports that he is presently divorce. We have only found documents that states he is legally separated. Tax record shows that Smith has received everything from zero to $5,000.00 for his speaking engagements. He presently has homes in Houston, Texas and Atlanta, GA.
