I am a senior manager within the Manchester airport group and have recently edited the Humberside airport page as there were some incorrect assertions and information.
Clearly some of my amendments are potentially ham fisted, and we will get there in the end with assistance from other contributors and those more experienced than I.
THe information contained within the page, submitted by me, is verifiable from MAG reports and information obtained from our airline partners. Information pertaining to development and planning/changes of land use for the airport estate will also be verifiable from both MAG and North Lincolnshire Council.
Whilst the overall content was very good, there is a requirement for more detail and to set the record straight on a number of points. I am happy to discuss these with other contributors, but it would be inappropriate for incorrect information regarding a commercial enterprise to be listed as factual when there are some basic errors, non of which, i believe are meant to cause harm.
Some have said that there is potentially a lack of NPOV in some of the comments. I would argue that its better to remove the information completely rather than allow some information to continue to go unchallenged and provide incorrect information.
I am, however, slightly amused by those that edit that have never, ever, visited the airport or flown through its airspace............I will have to just get used to those that believe they know better.
