Automated Categorization is the process of automatically assigning pre-defined categories to items using a categorization index that was trained with the help of carefully selected example items. Effective example items are essential to getting the best categorization results. Without them, the items that are to be categorized cannot be assigned to categories that represent the various concepts and topics they contain.
