Edward "Lash" Mwinga Malanga(born July 25, 1989), better known by his stage name Lash, is an African singer-songwriter, record producer and dancer, The Beginning, first album was released in 2012.

Lash was born Edward Mwinga Malanga on July 25, 1989, in Mombasa, Kenya. Raised as a military brat, Songz did not have aspirations to have a musical career as a child due to his big interest in dance, saying "Singing wasn't a reality for me, until other people started noticing I sounded good." He recognized his vocal abilities at the age of 18. Reluctant to sing, he began performing with encouragement by friends and family in high school mainly in dancing competition with his crew in Mombasa.
