Jeffrey Brotman is and American attorney, businessman and the co-founder of Costco.

Career

In 1982 Brotman joined with Jim Sinegal to draw up plans for a new wholesale business and became the co-founder of Costco Wholesale Corporation.[1] Brotman has been the Chairman of the Board for the company since December 1994 , Vice Chairman of Costco Wholesale Corporation since October 1993 and director of the company since its inception in 1983. [2] Brotman has "extensive knowledge" of Costco and its development and has served on the boards of several other public companies. [3] He is connected to 13 board members [4][5] and sits on the Board of Directors at United Way of King County. [6]

Brotman hosted President Obama, Bill Gates and 60 other people at his home in 2012 for a fund raising luncheon.[7][8]

Brotman lives with his wife, in Medina, Washington. [7]
