Future Hope is a charity based in Kolkata and was founded by Tim Grandage in 1988. At the time, he was working as a branch manager for HSBC.[1] Future Hope has close ties with Rugby School[2] via Tim Grandage, an alumni of the school.[3]

Future Hope provides food and housing for orphans, as well as schooling for both orphans and underprivileged children.[4] Future Hope currently provides for 200 children, and there are plans to provide for 500. One of the charity's main focuses is on sport, with the main preferences being rugby, hockey, association football or cricket. Future Hope has a rugby sevens team named Future Hope Harlequins.

Future Hope accepts volunteer work by professionals, graduates and students. Students and graduates are asked to commit at least six months to Future Hope.[5]
