So, what does that pretty little indicator on the corner of the screen mean?

I'm offline. | If I am making a few edits while my status is offline, I either forgot to change it or I'm preparing to go offline in a few minutes. It's safe to say that if I have been editing for over a half-hour while still listed as offline, I've forgotten to change it. The sure-fire way to see if I'm online is to check my most recent contribs. |
Busy.

I'll pop in from time to time. | Sometimes I'll leave it on busy in the middle of the day if I have work to do. I may occasionally stick my head in a check my watchlist and new messages, but most likely, I won't carry on very long conversations while busy. I may disappear without warning. |
Sleeping.

I'm asleep | I'm offline. I'll normally go to bed around 11:00 P.M. my time, or 5:00 UTC. Of course, this may stay on for more than the usual eight hours - remember, I don't always have access to my computer whenever I would like. ;) Again, I may hang around for a few minutes before actually leaving; check my contribs to be sure. |
