Alicia Hannah-Kim is a Korean Australian actress, known for her roles as Sensei Kim Da-Eun on the Netflix worldwide hit Cobra Kai, iconic feminist author Wendy Mah on the HBO series Max series Minx and popular mean girl Vivian on Alone Together.
Biography
[edit]Alicia Hannah-Kim (Korean: 김해나) was born in Sydney, Australia to first generation immigrant Korean parents. She attended the national youth theatre company - Australian Theatre for Young People, and appeared in White Collar Blue and Candy (2006 film).[2]
Hannah-Kim made her US debut recurring in Crash (American TV series) for Starz and went on to appear in Grey's Anatomy, Hot in Cleveland, Chasing Life and Two and a Half Men.[2]
Hannah-Kim recurred as popular mean girl Vivian in season one of Alone Together (TV series) on Freeform and guest starred on Hawaii Five-O (2010 TV series).
In 2021, Hannah-Kim recurred as Wendy Mah in the HBO Max comedy series Minx [3] before joining the cast of Netflix smash hit Cobra Kai (the sequel to The Karate Kid films) as the formidable South Korean sensei Kim Da-Eun. [4]
Hannah-Kim is a vocal advocate for Asian representation in media. [5] and an avid practitioner of yoga and Muay Thai [4]
