Hello, I'm Kokrantumi. I'm a Ghanaian writer and African music and culture enthusiast. I usually scour Wikipedia looking to create or improve articles on African or black entertainers in and outside of Africa. I taught myself how to edit on Wikipedia in 2017 by reverse engineering already existing pages. I learn something new with every edit. In 2020, I was asked to join the Mount Makeda WikiProject to help augment the number of contemporary African musicians on Wikipedia.
Currently, we work on musicians from Africa and the diaspora making their mark in our digital age.
My main purpose on Wikipedia is to:
Connect with other editors with similar ideologies as mine.
Create and expand pages related to artistes in the African diaspora.
Add references and external links where appropriate.
Gain more knowledge in Wikipedia standards and culture.
I am more than happy to make changes to my editing behavior based on problems cited by other editors or if my style of editing conflicts with other Wikipedia standards and guidelines. I humbly ask that other editors should not hesitate to contact me, via my user talk page, if I appear to be going against any Wikipedia guidelines.
