The article is very brief in its description of the event, giving little more than the fault line it occurred upon and the magnitude. It does give very vague descriptions of the effects, which could be improved upon and made more detailed. A more thorough description of the surrounding geology would also be appropriate as right now the article discusses more of the topography of the area rather than what is happening beneath the ground. Could include data from the PAGER report from USGS as well as "felt maps" showing the breadth of the effects of the quake. Overall this article just needs more actual data rather than generalized ideas and statements. The article also speaks on the geologic history of the area, stating that the epicenter of the 2021 Antelope Valley earthquake was in an area that is known for producing large earthquakes called Walker Lane. There are a large number of normal and strike-slip faults in the region.

The Antelope Valley Earthquake occurred 32 km south-southwest of Smith-Valley, Nevada and occurred due to dip-slip faulting in the North American Plate. Shaking occurred along the east boundary of the Sierra Nevada, with the faulting occurring North to South along the boundary. This boundary is a small part of the larger Pacific-North America plate boundary system of the Western United States and makes up about 25% of the movement of the plate boundary per year.[1]
