About me

[edit]

Well like most, I tend to enjoy video games. I also enjoy watching Netflix shows, like suits and shameless, it's something I enjoy in my free time if I'm not doing school or work from time to time. I am also my high schools FBLA[1] chapter treasurer, FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America) lets students from across the country compete in business competitions and provide leadership opportunities. Most of my time is dedicated to either school or work or FBLA, however when the time comes around I also enjoy a bit of basketball, my favorite hobby when it comes to being physical. Im originally from Houston, Texas and still do travel back and forth for holidays.

Article Evaluation

[edit]

Ive been interested into Lamar University all throughout my youth. Lamar University is a local university in Beaumont, Texas. Furthermore, my goal is to make sure Lamar University's wikipedia page remains intact and free of bias. I visited the Lamar University article on Wikipedia, and found three aspects of it worth commenting on: Citation errors, Grammar Errors, and dead-links."

Citation Errors

[edit]

There are many citations in this article, however more should be used in this article. The article states that Lamar University was a flagship institution, this statement should be followed up with a citation that shows it is a flagship institution while also being a trustworthy source by a well known publisher.

Grammar Errors

[edit]

Are there grammar errors in the Lamar University's wikipedia article? Yes, the subsection of the article titled "Recognition, a,wards, and ranking" this depicts a typo in the title of the subjection. The title should read, "Recognition, awards, and rankings".

[edit]

This article contains many citation links, however there are many dead links. Including the following:

the citation for Walter Umphrey and the citations for dual credit programs at Lamar University's website stateu.com.

Conclusion
