Ludmila Andreevna Chebotina (born 26 April 1997, Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, Russia) is a Russian singer, songwriter, and actress.

Biography

Ludmila Andreevna Chebotina was born in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, on April 26, 1997.[2] She currently resides in Moscow.

She professionally studied vocal music and also teaches teaches it herself. According to the singer's profile on the website of the TV channel Music First, she "graduated from the State College of Pop and Jazz Music and holds a diploma as a teacher of pop and jazz vocal music"[3].

In the year of 2015, she reached the quaterfinals of the Ukrainian version of the TV show Holos Krainy. In addition, she participated in the Indian television competition Dil Hai Hindustani, in which the participants performed songs from Bollywood[2]. She also took part in the project Glavnaya Stsena» on the TV channel «Russia-1». She was recognized as the most stylish contestant at the New Wave 2017[3].

At the same time, according to a widely circulated biography of the singer, cited by Alexey Mazhayev in his review of her debut album, "the popularity [of Lyudmila Chebotina] came unexpected. One evening, the girl posted a cover version of a song by [Ariana Grande], and woke up to find that the number of her follows has increased suddenly.

Between the years 2017-2018, she collaborated with Doni (who she was a duet with for "Son" and "Randevu", with composer and poet-songwriter Andrey Reznikov (who she was a duet with for "Davayte vspomnim vsekh"[4], and in October 2018, the song "Two Shots"[5] and "No Cry" with Luxor[6].

In February 2019[7], she presented her own song "Enchanted by You", [8]. On July 3rd, a music video for the song was uploaded to Youtube. According to the description, it "was shot as part of the vBattle project in one day with a budget of $100"[9]. By the beginning of 2020, the music video has gathered several hundred-thousand views[2].

In April 2019, a collaborative track titled "Balzam" was recorded by the singer with a foreign artist, Dan Balan, who was a former member of the Moldovan group O-Zone, which was popular in Russia. Dan Balan both composed the song and served as the producer of the music video.[10]

At the end of June, a song titled "Bud smeley" was released, recorded as a duet with YurKiss[11].

On October 11, 2019, Lucy Chebotina released her debut album titled "Unlimited Love"[12][13]. On November 14 of the same year, the singer held her first solo concert at the Moscow Club "Moskva"[14].

In June 2020, she presented the song "Unison", performed as a duet with Dmitry Malikov. The recording was made "in self-isolation mode".[15]

On October 29, 2021, she released her second studio album titled The End. The lead single from the album, "Solntse Monako", has reached the 6th position on Apple Music and VK (service) charts by mid-November. It later climbed to the 2nd position on Yandex.Music and reached the 63rd position on the global Shazam chart.[16].

In 2022, she participated in the TV show "Avatar (Tv Show)" on NTV, where she played the avatar of Mary Poppins.
